Different Types Of Conveyor Belts

In our day to day life, we see and sometimes observe the different types of machine in all our surroundings. These machines we see everywhere were made from a total scratch. The process of making a product from scratch is called engineering fabrication, especially metal fabrication. Through this process, there are millions of different types of products are made daily.  This process includes the other types as well, which are actually contributing to producing a product.

Many of the machines we use daily have some kind of belts fitted between two pulleys, in them that are performing some tasks that are important. There are different types of belts, one is known as the conveyor belt. Even in conveyor belts, there are eight basic types of conveyor belts. These are

  • Flat belt conveyor
  • Cleated belt conveyor
  • Curved belt conveyor
  • Inclined and declined belt conveyor
  • Specialty belt conveyor
  • Roller belt conveyor
  • Modular belt conveyor
  • Sanitary and wash down conveyors

Each of these conveyor belts is specially designed for separate work. Their durability, their thickness, their material and their texture are all different from each other. The only thing that is common in them is that they all are connected in a loop style with the pulley. The machine fixed inside the pulley in the same direction that leads the belt to move in a loop like motion continuously until it stops manual or there is a time fixed in the system that stops it automatically.

These conveyor belts are held together by a material or a small piece called conveyor belt fastener. These fasteners are of many different types and they mainly work together to keep the belt together and tightly. There are different types of fasteners. Each of the fasteners is made for a different purpose. Like some fasteners are made for the thicker belts and some are made for the thinner belts. That is because one cannot use conveyor belt fastener that is made for the thinner belts, on a thicker belt. It will not be able to hold it firmly and it will definitely lead to breakage of the joint. On the other hand, one cannot use the conveyor belt fasteners made for the thicker belts, on a thinner belt. It will damage the material of the belt. In a nutshell, different types of fasteners made for different thickness.

Conveyor belts also require regular clean for the smooth working. These belts have special cleaning material. if you own something that has conveyor belt then get your machine a separate conveyor belt cleaning supply. If you are looking for a reliable conveyor belt, then there is a conveyor belt sales as well. You can easily go and select the belt according to your requirement.
